Product Description New Hope Mills is now the manufacturer of what used to be the Atkins 3 Carb Pancake and Waffle Mix! Same great product - new manufacturer and new packaging. Sugar Free, Diabetic-Friendly, No Sugar Alcohols, 3 grams net carbs per serving. When you are on the low-carb lifestyle, you have a choice. You can either learn to live without all those high-carb foods you used to love or you can try to find a tasty and delicious alternative that keeps you from feeling deprived. Can you REALLY live without pancakes forever? We don't think so, which is why we are thrilled to be able to offer you the ability to whip up your own batch of hot and fresh pancakes or waffles with the New Hope Mills Sugar Free Pancake and Waffle Mix. Even better, there are NO SUGAR ALCOHOLS in this product and only a tiny bit of Splenda to give it just a touch of sweetness. Tiny Box! January 2, 2009 I was shocked at the tiny box of product that I recieved when I ordered this mix. I really should have read the details better, buyer beware!
Dried up Omelette December 1, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After reading several of the other reviews, I decided to purchase this product, mainly as a way to adopt a more low carb diet. Here's the deal: Right away you notice that the mixture is extremely eggy. The mixture has the look of a pancake and cooks all the way through easily enough. The taste: tastes like a dried up omelette. Very eggy taste. Hard cardboard texture. No amount of syrup can bury this flavor. Was not able to get through even one pancake. Very unsatisfied with this product. Could never recommend to anyone. If you are trying to lower your carb intake; eat smaller portions of carbs.
Diabetic and loving it! August 5, 2008 I am a diabetic and I love carbs which is the worst thing for someone like me. I found these products online and I now eat pancakes every Saturday and Sunday! It is amazing how delicious they are when I make them with a little tweaking.
My recipe is so good, I even had pancakes for dinner a few times!
I always use one package of sweet and low, 1 egg beaters container (2 eggs), a little bit of banana, almond, lemon or vanilla flavoring, a touch of oil and a touch of water, I shake it really well (have my own little shaker for this now) stir it to test the thickness of the batter...and start making pancakes. I top it off with a little whip cream (sugar free and sugar free rasberry ice cream topping) and it is soooo goood!!! Just like eating at IHOP or Waffles restaurants!!
I recommend getting a small container (for 1 person) with a top for shaking...it makes it so simple..less than 2 minutes and it is ready for the fry pan!
PANCAKE MIX July 19, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I HAVE NOT TRIED THE MIX YET. SO I CAN NOT REVIEW THE PRODUCT
just a little tough June 4, 2008 The batter whips up alright but for some reason the pancakes are a little on the rubbery side- they were cooked per pkg directions.
