A gift for my picky brother January 7, 2009 My brother is always difficult to shop for around the holidays. I bought this for him because I know he loves eating healthy and likes oatmeal. Turns out this gift was a homerun. He ate half of the 4 bags in a week - using them to make oatmeal in the morning and cookies later in the day.
Delicious January 6, 2009 My husband loves oatcakes, but we cannot purchase them easily in the US, so I make them for him. Of all the oatmeals out there, this is the very best - the only one - that makes oatcakes that have authentic taste and texture. It's a wonderful product. Thank you, Bob's Red Mill.
Great Alternative to Rolled Oats December 12, 2008 My family really enjoys this cereal. It is a lot like cream of wheat but a bit more hearty. Very filling and sticks with you.
CAUTION: Possibly contains gluten! December 1, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
All of the Bob's Red Mill products are great, but it's worth noting that while this shows up on a gluten-free search on Amazon the BRM company makes *no* claim that this product is gluten-free and in fact it probably isn't.
They have two facilities, one of which processes only products without wheat or gluten. If this was processed there, it would say that it was gluten-free (as their gluten-free rolled oats do); since it doesn't say so it's almost certain that it's processed on the same equipment that they use for wheat products so there can easily be cross-contamination.
Delicious November 16, 2008 This is a different kind of oatmeal, but very tasty. You can cook it to whatever thickness you prefer. It sticks to your ribs!
